GRIZZLIES STAR JA MORANT PUNCHED TEEN DURING PICKUP GAME, EXPOSED GUN TO HIM: REPORT
the grizzlies defeated the rockets 113-99, moving to 38-23 on the season.
In The Washington Post’s report, Morant allegedly hit a teenager over the head “12 to 13 times” in a casual basketball game at Morant’s home last summer.
According to the report, Morant entered his home after the altercation and came out with a gun at his waist and his hand on the gun.
Morant told police he had acted in self-defense and filed a police report after the teen allegedly said he would come back after the altercation and “light this place up like fireworks.”
“Any and all allegations involving a firearm have been thoroughly investigated and could not be substantiated. This includes the NBA investigation last monthin which they found no evidence,” Morant’s agent, Jim Tanner, told The Washington Post, adding that “it was purely self-defense.”
“Again, after law enforcement fully investigated this, they made the decision not to charge Ja with any crimes.”
The new accusation arises recently from a earlier controversy involving Morant. youThe Indiana Pacers claimed that after an altercation between Morant associates and the Pacers, a red laser was pointed at the team from a van carrying Morant, which the Pacers believed was a weapon.
The NBA investigated the incident and found that no “individual threatened others with a weapon.”
