Days later, a police report said that Morant allegedly exposed a weapon After hitting a teenager “12 or 13 times” during a casual basketball game last summer, video surfaced Saturday of Morant that appeared to show a shirtless gun in a nightclub.
The NBA issued a statement Saturday morning saying they are investigating the video.

“We are aware of a social media post involving Ja Morant and are investigating.” nba spokesperson said Mike Bass, according to ESPN.
The video surfaced Saturday morning following the Grizzlies’ 113-97 loss to the denver nuggets Friday night.

Morant can be seen in the video displaying what appears to be a weapon while dancing without his shirt on.
In a Washington Post report earlier in the week, Morant allegedly hit a teenager over the head “12 to 13 times” in a casual basketball game at Morant’s home last summer.
According to the report, Morant entered his home after the altercation and came out with a gun at his waist and his hand on the gun.

Morant told police he had acted in self-defense and filed a police report after the teen allegedly said he would come back after the altercation and “light this place up like fireworks.”
“Any and all allegations involving a firearm have been fully investigated and could not be substantiated. This includes the NBA investigation last month, which found no evidence,” Morant’s agent said, Jim Tanner, to The Washington Post, adding that “it was pure self-defense.”

“Again, after law enforcement fully investigated this, they made the decision not to charge Ja with any crimes.”
Hours after the report, Morant mimicked a pistol move by celebrating a teammate’s 3-pointer against the houston rockets.
