Netflix is about to lose another Netflix original series with instant hotel looking to fully review (sorry not sorry) the Netflix library in March 2023.
The competition reality series, hosted by Luke Jacobz (Season 1), Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen (Season 2) and Juliet Ashworth, saw teams of Australian owners compete for the title of best instant overnight hotel in the rentals of others and rating their experience.
The series aired on the Seven Network in Australia between November 2017 and November 2019.
Netflix globally added the first season in December 2018 globally and the second, and what would be the final season of instant hotelit then landed on Netflix on June 28, 2019.
It’s not the only reality series to cross over to Netflix from the Seven Network. Zumbo’s desserts and delicious mummies (who recently left Netflix) both went to Netflix from the Netflix Original-branded network.
When will Instant Hotel leave Netflix?
Elimination dates have not been consistent for Instant Hotel so far, with America already losing the first season, while others will hold on to season 1 for a while longer.
As mentioned, the first season left Netflix US just a few months ago, and season 1 left the service on December 28, 2022.
The second season now shows a global takedown notice for March 19, 2023 on the Netflix page with a “Last Day to Watch” notice listed for March 18.
The first season is expected to drop on Netflix globally (everywhere outside of the US) on June 28, 2023.
Why is Instant Hotel leaving Netflix?
Despite carrying the Netflix Original brand, the title is not owned by Netflix. This is a growing trend that we have cataloged in recent years and it is only becoming more prolific.
We’ve listed dozens of Netflix Originals that have already been removed, with many more to come in the months, years, and decades to come.
It will not be the only Netflix original title to leave Netflix throughout March 2023. The most important are the five seasons of arrested developmentbut we will also see Darren Brown’s push and limit leave the service
